Battalion is back to battle Despot and it is revealed how he survived "death" so many months ago. Battalion went into hiding and trained his powers to their utmost, preparing to face his father and the Warguard. Despot takes advantage of the battle by possessing the members of Stormwatch as well, combining them with the Warguard to defeat Battalion. He finds a way to sever Despot's ties and battles him head on, showing Despot his human side. In a moment of vulnerability, Henry Bendix arrives to shoot Despot in the head.
